I am currently a U.S. Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk pilot.  I hold a helicopter ATP, CFI/CFII for both airplane and rotorcraft, and have logged just shy of 3,000 hours in the air.  While stationed in Kodiak, Alaska, I owned an 1966 Lake LA-4 amphibian, proudly featured on the home page.  While stationed in DC, I had the privilege of providing civilian flight instruction with HJ Aviation out of Potomac Airport in Piper Cherokees.

I have been an aviation addict since birth. Both my mother and father were pilots. My dad owned a maintenance facility where he worked as an A&P/IA and would take my flying almost every day. My mom did the books for the shop and flew a Champ and Cessna 170.  I joined the Coast Guard with the dream of becoming a helicopter pilot, and I have been blest to live out that dream.

I look forward to sharing my experiences with you, and learning from yours.
